This website and app (collectively the “Site”) is owned and operated by Healthread LLC and/or its subsidiaries and affiliates (“Healthread,” “we,” “us” or “our”). Healthread provides a social media cloud service that provides a communications platform between people and medical providers. As part of this service, Healthread provides tools that allow people to communicate, post messages, post images and/or videos. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, you acknowledge and agree that Healthread may collect, store, retain and use (even after termination of your relationship with Healthread), and sell, any data that you submit through the Site. Healthread may process and analyze such data and make the results available to advertisers, third parties, or Analysis Tools; provided, however, that such results will not disclose any information that personally identifies you or your organization.

We take physical, technological and administrative measures to protect the information you provide through the Site against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use, disclosure or modification. However, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or guarantee that information on the Site may not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. Email sent to or from the Site, or a message within the site, may not be secure. You should use caution whenever submitting information online and take special care in deciding what information you send to us via email.

10. YOUR CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS

Under California Civil Code Section 1798.83, if you are a California resident and your business relationship with us is primarily for personal, family or household purposes, you may request certain data regarding our disclosure, if any, of personal information to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please send an email to support@healthread.com with "Request for California Privacy Information" in the subject line. You may make such a request up to once per calendar year. If applicable, we will provide to you via email a list of the categories of personal information disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes during the immediately-preceding calendar year, along with the third parties' names and addresses. Please note that not all personal information sharing is covered by Section 1798.83's requirements.

11. CHOICE OF LAW AND VENUE

The parties’ rights or obligations under this Privacy Policy will be construed in accordance with, and any claim or dispute relating thereto will be governed by, the laws of the State of New York, without giving effect to conflict of law rules. In the event of any court action which may be allowed by this Agreement, the venue of such shall be in the State or Federal Court of Kings County, New York.

We may update this policy from time to time, and the updated version of this policy will be effective upon posting. Please check this page to review the most up-to-date version of this policy. By continuing to use the Site after an updated version has been posted, you agree that the new policy will apply to you.
